An illusion is a big word. Often it is associated with cheating, fraud, and misrepresentation in the commercial world. There are known cases, but this blog is just about enlightening oneself.
An optical illusion is a visual perception which differs from the reality. There are many, such as moving circles, rotating dots, a number of objects etc. Maybe this is funny, but I wouldn’t step back to say these were just pieces of arts which went terribly wrong and thus optical illusions appeared. But those were great to use for entertainment. And much more, the pictures were and are used as prints on fabrics and apparels.
It isn’t little; it has been quite a few years, whence I have worked over 1000’s of surveys from psychological institutes in the USA and many other parts of the world as mturker. They have been talking about memories, decisiveness, and other behavior patterns in an individual. These were psychological studies. There were surveys which must have been used for marketing products too. The knowledge about individual perception is a study that helps in deriving the most common thought in any group of people and thus taking best of the decision.
This article provokes me to ask one question: Is there any objects around us which appears one for our eyes, but in reality it is different?
The question just makes me an alert citizen, as the question may refer to an appearance of any human beings in front of us too. Are you alert yet?
